Music, Music, Music!! The 22nd season of First Arts Concerts is just that and then some fun surprises. As you read about the artists you will see that each brings some of what you would expect in the genre they represent, but with a twist.
The season opens Friday, November 19th.
Hearn Plato Classical Guitar Duo
The name classical guitar does not mean that only classical repertoire is performed on it, although classical music is a part of the instrument's core repertoire (due to the guitar's long history). Instead all kinds of music (folk, jazz, flamenco, etc.) are performed on it. Bill Hearn and Scott Plato will present An Evening of Spanish Style Guitar.
Brass Roots Trio
With piano, trumpet and French horn, Brass Roots Trio thrills their audience with performances full of passion, spontaneity and charisma. Moving seamlessly from virtuosic showpieces to refined chamber music to ragtime and to jazz, their colorful programs take unexpected twists and turns!
Rastrelli Cello Quartet
Each of us learned to say the word "cello" before we learned to say our own names. However, since meeting in Stuttgart (Germany) in spring 2002, and later, performing together, we ended up forgetting the name of our instrument. Our ensemble's repertoire consists entirely of transcriptions, music not intended to be performed on the cello.

Three On A String
The Birmingham based bluegrass trio, Three on a String returns to the Concert Series According to them, the show is the thing and they always want people to feel good. We are ready to do whatever it takes to make the evening get-together a hit. They perform all kinds of music- old standards, country, classical, bluegrass, and folk.
ProTango Duo
Two internationally renowned and often prize-winning Croatian musicians, the guitarist Frane Verbanac and the accordionist and bandoneónist Miran Vaupotić will take you into the magical world of tango in their concert, as well as give you seductive, dramatic music, which is sometimes pensive but always extremely sensual.
