Don Edwards, Cowboy Balladeer ~ February 3, 2012
Grammy nominated singer-guitarist Don Edwards continues to build a legacy that enriches our vision of the American West. In tales of the day-to-day lives and emotions of those who have lived it, his ballads paint a sweeping landscape of both mind and heard, keeping alive the sights, sounds and feelings of this most American contribution to culture and art. The quality of this cowboy balladeer's music stems from the fact that he is so much more than a singer. Bobby Weaver of the National Cowboy Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, summed up Edwards' importance as "...the best purveyor of cowboy music in America today."
An historian, author, and musicologist, unusually well-versed in cowboy lore and musical traditions, Don brings a rare compliment of knowing and loving his craft. Mostly though, there is the soul of a poet; a man who has never succumbed to the temptations of presenting a glamorized or romanticized version of the West.

Dominick Farinacci and Aaron Diehl ~ February 17, 2012
Cleveland native Dominick Farinacci has had a tremendous amount of success both nationally and worldwide. When he was only 17 years old, Wynton Marsalis heard him play in Cleveland and invited Dominick to New York City to perform with him on a special PBS broadcast "Live from Lincoln Center." Shortly after that Dominick was one of 18 artists worldwide invited to be a part of the inaugural class of the Jazz Studies Program at The Juilliard School.
Joining Dominick is pianist Aaron Diehl. Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as "The most promising discovery that Wynton Marsalis has made since Eric Reed," Aaron Diehl's distinctive interpretations of the music of Scott Joplin, "Jelly Roll" Morton, Art Tatum, Duke Ellington, and other masters pay homage to the tradition while establishing his own original voice.

Festival of Four ~ March 2, 2012
Since 1992, the Festival of Four has dazzled audiences with programs featuring music from around the world presented with the highest levels of virtuosity and musicianship. The sonic colors created by Chilean-born flutist Viviana Guzman with her collection of over 40 flutes from diverse cultures, the dazzling virtuosity of Czech-born, U.S. National mandolin champion Radim Zenkl, the breathtaking rhythms of flamenco guitar master Guillermo Rios, and the composition and arranging talents of classical guitarist Richard Patterson combine to shatter the boundaries of traditional chamber music and create a unique sound all their own.
“Almost all of the music on the program was folk or traditional music from some spot on the globe. The only thing the works had in common was that they were all delightful.” “...the performance never lacked a sense of joy and a genuine love for the music. They proved that classical guitar recitals do not have to be grimly serious to be good.” –Ft Worth Star Telegram
